Seed Grant Project

Age-Friendly Community

This project is made possible thanks to the Seed grant from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation.

This age-friendly community project involves older adults with a Chinese background as community ambassadors through (i) an advisory committee and (ii) community outreach.

Throughout this project, a project coordinator with a social service background will guide our senior ambassadors to discuss the following twelve (12) content pillars:

  • Social inclusion
  • Diversity & Racism
  • Volunteerism & Community Participation
  • Public Areas & Transportation
  • Home & Neighbourhoods
  • Access to Healthcare
  • Food Security
  • Financial Security
  • Socially Active Lifestyles
  • Physically Active Lifestyles
  • Safety & Accessibility
  • Cultures
