In support of Canada’s Poverty Reduction Strategy, OneHub Growth hosts a free tax clinic to participate in the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program to help individuals and families access the benefits and credits to which they are entitled throughout the calendar year.

To book a free tax clinic appointment for 2025, please review the eligibility criteria and fill out the booking form. Our CVITP volunteers will contact you by email or phone before your appointment to understand your tax situation.

Eligibility
Please read the eligibility requirements before booking an appointment.
These simple tax situations should apply to you if you want to participate in our tax clinic:
- No income
- Income from employment
- Income from pension
- Income from benefits, such as Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, disability insurance, employment insurance, and social assistance
- Income from Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs)
- Scholarships, fellowships, bursaries, or grants
- Interest (under $1,200)
The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program will NOT complete the following types of returns:
- Capital gains/losses
- Income earning foreign property (T1135), e.g., bank accounts held abroad (interest), vacant land
- Bankruptcy in the tax year (or the year before, if that return has not yet been filed)
- Foreign income (including a foreign pension)
- Deceased individuals
- Self-employment income & employment expenses (exception: must have T4A, the total income in box 48 is under $1,000, no expenses are claimed)
- Business income and expenses
- Rental Income and expenses
- Interest income over $1,200
As a modest income individual, if you belong to the following income threshold:

Our free tax clinic participates in the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) and we received funding for 3 consecutive years from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
