Eligibility
Thank you for choosing OneHub Growth Tax Clinic.
Please read the eligibility requirements before booking an appointment.
These simple tax situations should apply to you if you want to participate in our tax clinic:
- no income
- income from employment
- income from pension
- income from benefits, such as Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, disability insurance, employment insurance, and social assistance
- income from Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs)
- support payments
- scholarships, fellowships, bursaries, or grants
- interest (under $1,000)
The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program will NOT complete complex tax situations. CVITP volunteers will not complete the following types of returns:
- Deceased individuals
- Self-employment income & employment expenses (exception: T4A box 48 under $1,000)
- Business income and expenses
- Rental Income and expenses
- Interest income over $1,000
- Capital gains/losses
- Income- earning foreign property (T1135)
- Bankruptcy individuals
As a modest income individual, if you belong to the following income threshold:
