Contemporary Realities of Women
Immigrant women face employment challenges in Canada due to their gender and immigration status. They may experience obstacles in the labour market, different treatments in wages and working conditions, and additional responsibilities at home (King & Cheung, 2017).
OneHub Growth understands the impacts of social and economic structures on women’s employment status and moves forward to make changes. We apply a feminist perspective to:
- Value clients as the expert in their life
- Raise critical consciousness
- Give voices to themselves
- Build resilience, capacities, strengths, and empowerment
- Develop solidarity
