REDUCE the amount of waste generated

  • Avoid using/purchasing single use items (plastic bags, water bottles & cutlery) & produce/items wrapped in excessive packaging.

RE-USE items instead of discarding them

  • Save unusable resources.
  • Use reusable shopping bags/bottles & mugs instead of plastic.
  • Consider second hand (thrift stores & garage sales) and donating or selling unwanted items.

RECYCLE as many materials as possible

  • Separate recyclable materials like paper, plastic and glass. 
  • Place them in designated recycling bins.
  • Recycling can be used to make new products

RECOVER maximize the usability of your waste

  • Compost food scraps and yard waste to nourish plants & soil.
