Equity-Informed Research

According to the Government of Canada, the principle of equity is to consider people’s unique experiences and ensure they have access to the resources/opportunities necessary to attain outcomes in a just society. OneHub Growth supports the notion of equity that aims to eliminate disparities, inequality, and disproportions rooted in systematic injustices and oppression.

We support, connect, and advocate for equity-deserving groups, including racialized persons, persons with disabilities, and women, to unlock their full potential through community engagement. Equity-deserving groups are communities that experience significant collective barriers, such as age, ethnicity, race, disability, economic status, and gender when participating in society. These barriers prevent them from gaining equal access, opportunities and resources due to disadvantages and discrimination. We take a role in helping equity-seeking groups seek inclusion and social justice.

We value the voices of racialized persons, persons with disabilities, and women. Their diverse perspectives and lived experiences bring important contributions to our communities.
