Autism Support Across the Lifespan

Infant Child Development Program

A free program for families who have concerns about their child’s early development; connects families to resources & helps children build skills.

Children from birth to school entry with a developmental disability and/or risk of developmental delay.

Autism Program

Offers support to families of children & youth on the autism spectrum.

Register at: www.accessoap.ca children under age 18 who currently live in Ontario, and have a written diagnosis of autism from a qualified professional.

Special Services at Home

Helps families taking care of a child with a developmental and/or physical disability by providing funding to buy services and supports.

Children under age 18 in need of extra disability support, who live at home or separately without support from other government-funded residential services

Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities

Provides financial support for eligible families to cover some of the extra costs of caring for a child who has a severe disability.

Children under age 18 who live at home and have a severe disability, with total household income ≤ $76,200

Disability Tax Credit
Helps reduce the income tax that people with physical or mental impairments, or their supporting family members, may have to pay.

Step 1: Find Form T2201 on the CRA website

Step 2: Once approved, claim the non-refundable credit on your tax return.

Ontario Residents Over the age of 18 whose impairment is certified by a medical practitioner.

If your child is approved for the DTC & you receive the Canada Child Benefit, you will also get the Child Disability Benefit.

Developmental Services Ontario

The access point for funded services for adults with developmental disabilities, including the Passport program as well as specialized & clinical supports

Ontario Residents Over the age of 18 with a developmental disability.

Can begin application process at age 16.

Ontario Disability Support Program: Income Supports

Offers financial assistance for living expenses of Ontario residents with disabilities & eligible family members.

Ontario Residents over the age of 18

who have a disability, are in financial need, and have assets less than the program’s limits.

Can begin application process six months before turning 18.
