Career Path to Becoming a Social Worker

1. High School Diploma

  • Have a high school diploma w/ GPA of B or 3.0

2. Degree

Get your degree:

  • Social service worker diploma (SSW) or,
  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or,
  • Master of Social Work (MSW)

3. Register

  • Register with the regulatory body in your province or territory to become a “Registered Social Worker” or “Registered Social Service Worker”
  • i.e OCSWSSW

4. Find a Job

  • Follow your interest: work with the target population you like
