Contemporary Realities of Newcomer Youth

Newcomer youth’s social integration can predict their participation in the Canadian labour market and economic well-being. When finding employment, barriers newcomer youth face may relate to educational outcomes, bridging networks, English language proficiency, cultural adaptation, and work experiences in Canada and their home countries. OneHub Growth acknowledges these challenges and empowers all young immigrants & Canadians to thrive using their potential.

We use strengths-based perspectives and systems theory to explore the following areas:

  • Identify needs
  • Recognize strengths
  • Set goals
  • Promote positive development
  • Build developmental relationships
  • Eliminate barriers
